Chandigarh: Charging an extra Rs 42 on a pair of school shoes proved expensive for a local shoe shop. Seeking refund, Sector-45 resident Sushma, 39, knocked the doors of city’s consumer court. Stating that the store had indulged in an unfair trade practice, the consumer forum directed Mahajan Shoe Store to refund the amount it overcharged and pay Rs 5,000 as compensation along with Rs 500 as cost of litigation.
