Of course, reality bites. Whether we like it or not, racism happens in every society.

hey thnx 4 the reply.....my main aim 4 writing this post was that people dont often realize that they are being discriminative....

E.G- attending a white person 1st at a restaurant or any other place....


many people dnt even realize that they are doing something wrong...

so hope this post will help them in realizing and take steps towards a racism free world!! :)

i read ur comment and i felt very hurted that u describe indians as worst of racists just bcoz they call people by name.....i agree that people call different races by diff names but whn it comes to behaviour we doesnt discriminate and certainly DONT KILL PEOPLE AND ABUSE THEM LIKE ITS BEEN DONE IN UK, USA, NEWZEALAND ETC. IN NZ INDIANS CANT GO OUT OF THEIR HOUSE AFTER 10PM.....WHILE IN INDIA EVERY1 CAN ROAM AROUND FREELY.....IF THERES A THREAT TO THEM,.....THERES A THREAT TO US ALSO.....ITS NOT THAT ONLY WHITE OR BLACK ARE ATTACKED!!!!!

@ Sanchit : Indian soldiers normally rape and kill North-East Indians in their own states. Is it not a fact? How many protests have you witnessed against that? I am sorry that the situation is bad in New Zealand for Indians. However it is no better for people of other races in India either. We have had many rapes of tourists in India as well. One of my German workers was followed late at night by a group of young men while driving home from work here in Chandigarh. One other German girl was even raped in Hotel Taj right here! So its like a pot calling the kettle black. Anyway I did not say Indians are the worst racists. I just said that Brown people are likely not to like either blacks or whites.

@ Sanchit : Indian soldiers are notorious for their sexual atrocities not only in the North East but also in the Congo. In fact the Congolese government has refused anymore Indian contingent and the UN is taking this matter very seriously. Of course I agree that racism is present within every racial group. However most crimes of the Indian army seem to be against minorities or different racial groups. I find that quite disturbing. You do not witness such behaviour in India Proper or mainland India.

Its a painful fact that you can see the worst case of racism in the name of caste system. I myself was born in a backward caste, but to rich parents, who don't care much about religion/caste. But I used to get some repulsive comments from my higher caste born friends about our ancestry, and when I came out of my state for educational purposes, comments from Brahmin-Non Brahmin high castes based on my caste and brown skin tone. Even my close pal, a Brahmin is very proud of his caste, and always compares the fair skin to the brown ones, even to the extent that he sees us as inferiors. Caste system is the worse social habit in India, and a painful fact. even the people who cries about racism in Australia will be doing the same to their fellow citizen in India.

brown people are one of the most racist people in the world... i come from north india and have a jet black skin tone... i have personally experieced racist comments from people and relations you cant even imagine... its so inherent in out systems that they do it without even thinking...
we have no right to crib... just think urself how many times you would have heard a dark boy in a class being called an african...

I would like to say that I myself belief that Indians are worst when it comes to "CASTEISM" !

But I have lil diff views on Racism!! You may know better as you have experienced it but comparing it with west would be unfair since in western countries people are even killed in Racial attacks whereas in India people might make fun but I havent heard of any physical attacks due to race!!



Other thing to note is it may not have nothing to do with race. In India people have the bad habit of making fun of others. A tall person would be called "lambu" "giraffe".... a fat person is taunted by saying "football" "mota" etc......

So basically every1 is taunted on physical appearance which is wrong!!



Thats my opinion!!
